Jason B. Kiker, Managing Principal

Jason has worked as a consultant of forest resources for over seventeen years. He has extensive experience developing financial analysis of land and timber investments, forest economics, development and implementation of forest management plans, statistical analysis of forest inventories, data compilation, database management, as well as growth and yield modeling. Jason specializes in the development of Geographic Information System (GIS) databases and the use of Global Positioning Systems in forest resource management. He has developed GIS databases for private and corporate clients in excess of 180,000 acres. Field experience includes the preparation of timber sale areas, harvest scheduling, silvicultural and site preparation burning skills, supervision of logging operations and road construction contractors, and the development and monitoring of thinning regimes.
Jason is a Registered Forester in North Carolina (#1481) and South Carolina (#1715), as well as a real estate agent in North Carolina (NC Broker#263672). He is also a Certified Prescribed Burner in NC (NCDRF-495), Certified Prescribe Fire Manager in SC (CPFM #1127), NC Pesticide Consultant (030-1286), and licensed NC Pesticide Applicator (026-21225). He is a member of the Society of American Foresters, Association of Consulting Foresters (past president), North Carolina Forestry Association (past board member), and Rotary International.

Michael joined the KRM team in December 2018. He has worked as a forestry consultant since 2014. Duties administered by the Office Manager include the following:
- Preparation of all sale notices for perspective buyers (timber sales, hunting leases, pine straw, etc.)
- Receive all bids and report the results to the corresponding landowner
- Coordinate the dispersal of contracts between landowners and buyers and contractors
- Review weekly settlement checks to ensure that correct prices are paid and all tickets are accounted for on unit sales
- Handle the dispersal of weekly checks to landowners for all unit sales
- Pay invoices from contractors and/or vendors for services that have been completed
- Adjust database to reflect changes in timber volumes created from timber sales (both clearcuts and thinnings)
- Produce income and expense reports for landowners
